The next door neighbours came round today when I was out and trimmed the hedge between our houses. They're both nice people and I'd like to get them a present as a 'thank you'. I was thinking a bottle of wine for him, maybe one about a tenner, and flowers for her. How much should I spend on them?

Are the bottles white or red?

They're green bottles so white, I think.
Then I`d get them a nice Sancerre
...and not bother with the flowers
Why not just ask them round to yours for a glass of wine and a few choice nibbles, cheese, olives etc and maybe give them a thankyou card as well.
£20 quid should do it.
Supermarkets sell gorgeous bouquets for £15.00 not and you can get a nice bottle of wine for a fiver. If you want fizzy wine, up your budget to £25.00.
That's more than enough for a hedge trim. :)
interflora between twenty and forty quid
other wise your local supermarket for abouthalf
Box of chocks will rebuild their energy
Just get them a bottle of Prosecco to share, and don't bother with the flowers - too generous and you will embarrass them.
I agree with Hopkirk. Far too generous and would probably put them off doing it in future.
