When I bring up emails on my screen they have moved west about 1cm. All other home pages etc are right on the screen. Any ideas how I can centre them. When I put the cursor on the right edge an arrow appears but it doesn't
drag sideways.

It might help Techies to identify the problem if you were to say what E/mail programme you are using. Sometimes an e/mail page has an area down the side for adverts which can be blocked, but, if they are, result in a blank space. However, 1cm is very very small, unless you are using a 'smart phone 'with a somewhat miniature screen.

Post again with as much information as possible.

Hi Hans; I'm using windows live mail and windows 10. I have a large 50cm monitor screen, the 1cm to the right is no problem, but to the left, not being able to see the first centimetre means, for example, the cursor is off screen for beginning a reply, and I can't see the first wording on the email.
This happened suddenly and never had a problem before.
Shut down Computer. Disconnect Monitor lead to computer. Wait five minutes, reconnect the lead, reboot computer and see if that corrects the problem.

Alternatively you may have a button marked 'Auto' on the bottom edge of the monitor which if pressed might readjust the screen.

Hans.
Try putting the cursor in the blank area at the top of the screen and drag it.
Have you tried the monitor screen adjustments Khandro? There may be an auto or menu button on one edge of your monitor, then navigate the menu. It can happen after a power cut. You may only be noticing it in email because the left side is as you say critical on your email page.
Question Author
Togo; Yes there is such a button, though I can't activate the menu which appears, but anyway that would orientate the main screen itself which is fine, the problem is only with emails.
Reading what Hans said, I realise this has happened only since I returned from a 3 week holiday during which time the whole system was closed down.
I'll try switching everything off again for a spell this evening.
Question Author
I switched off the monitor and the PC last night but sad to report that this morning, the emails are still 1cm off centre to the left.
sounds like the LiveMail porgramme is off centre

Look at the top right corner of the Live screen - do you see

- [] x

If so click on the box ([])

That will swap the screen size back to the previous - then you can move it and resize it (drag bottom right corner)

Stand at ease! I've found the solution, so simple. You just have to put the cursor on the TITLE BAR and left click and hold, and you can drag the whole email window to wherever you want.
Thanks for your indulgence.
