the Daily Mail and Katie Hopkins, a match made in he...well, not in heaven.

[i]iI don’t mind my children watching a man hack a woman to death with a meat cleaver as long as it’s not a terror attack.[i]

Really? Well, what are you moaning about then?
This is a puff piece, and means absolutely nothing.

The media has followed the military in using chillingly nondescript words and phrases for the brutalities of war - 'collateral damage', 'friendly fire', and similar guff, for years.

This is picking up an aspect of media reporting and spinning into something it's not - the notion of downplaying the horror of terrorism.

If the news is reported to me accurately and without (excessive!) spin, I an perfectly capable of sifting out the facts, and I will then create my own opinions and conclusions.

I don't need my interpretations spoon-fed to me by a bored hack on a slow news day.

And she speaks very highly of you too.
Hopkins is a provocateur.

It is a 'skill' that should be used sparingly.
Unfortunately she doesn't. Constant overuse diminishes The result each time until it gets to the stage of being desperate and laughable.

Her current career will have a very short shelf life because people will quickly get bored with it.
AOG - // And she speaks very highly of you too//

I doubt she speaks highly of anyone!
she's bang on, as usual the apologists for terror lead with their platitudes ahead of what we all know. Making excuses for these lowlives has become the stock in trade of your Liberal "elite". 9 times out of 10 this sort of thing is committed by an Islamic terrorist and 9 times out of ten it's reported reluctantly by outfits like the BBC determined, "hoping" that it's not. Will they ever learn?

Who do you think is 'an apologist for terror'?

I have yet to read a single post on any thread anywhere on this site where anyone even hints at 'apologising' for terrorism.

You should either name anyone on here that you think qualifies for that odious label - or withdraw it for the falsehood that it clearly is.
get with it Andy, they don't do it so obviously, assumptions and rhetoric.
I will pay attention to Katie Hopkins' views on exactly the same day that I consult The Krankies on their views on the future of digital subscription management and the plight of the manatee in the Florida lowlands.
I think Frau Merkels propaganda ministry in the Reichstag has realised they have been tumbled and given up on the Spin. Haw Haw and Goebbels did it better.
Yes. Todays latest had psychological problems and had tried to commit suicide before. No mention that he attempted to take hundreds with him on previous attempts with what has been described as a nail bomb designed to cause multiple deaths/injuries?? So whilst some of you suck up the continual tosh and prepare your defence for all these suddenly mentally deranged muslims that are popping up in Europe like synchronised swimmers the German security now admit that this 'suicide troubled lad' had sworn allegiance to the head honcho of ISIS and a video of it exists on his mobile phone found in his hostel room!!!
BTW. The chief of ISIS had exorted ALL muslims throughout the world to conduct 'lone wolf' attacks wherever they are and up,suddenly, pops a load of mentally disturbed alien people in a country who all just happen to be Muslim!!

Who is 'they'?
You really cant work that out Andy?

Me thinks you are baiting TTT!
The article is spot on. The ‘powers that be’ and certain sections of the media take the public for fools – and sadly, they’re often right.
The left-wing German media which is most of it) too is bending over backwards to not say certain words.
It's time for Angela to walk out onto the balcony with a bottle of Schnapps and a revolver.
youngmafbog - //You really cant work that out Andy?

Whether or not I can 'work that out' is not the point.

If someone wants to infer that some people on this site are terrorism sympathisers, than that person should either have the courage of their convictions and be prepared to name people outright, or they should stop making mealy-mouthed hints from the side-lines - you can't have it both ways.

And for the record, I don't do 'baiting' - I await TTT's response with interest.
I'm not talking about people on this site, I'm tailing more widely in the media generally, though some on here do fit into the area I'm describing. You know the sort, whenever a Muslim atrocity is committed, we all know it's a muslim atrocity but they'll move heaven on earth with their "we don't know yet" comments etc. Tell you what, I'm not going to trawl the site but I'll point it out next time it happens. To be clear though in my post above I was not referring to AB specifically, did actually mention the BBC but AH probably missed that in his hurry to have a go at me.

Thanks for your clarification.

I was not 'having a go' - apologies if that was the impression given.
Newspeak. We were warned.

Newspeak is the fictional language in the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, written by George Orwell. It is a controlled language created by the totalitarian state Oceania as a tool to limit freedom of thought, and concepts that pose a threat to the regime such as freedom, self-expression, individuality, and peace. Any form of thought alternative to the party’s construct is classified as "thoughtcrime".

Togo - //Any form of thought alternative to the party’s construct is classified as "thoughtcrime". //

There are definite echoes of that on here!
//There are definite echoes of that on here!//

Oh boy is that tempting.^^
