The present Mrs Hughes is watching the Grease Special in TV, and I have dipped in and out for a few minutes - all i can stand of Alan Carr -

Why is there a Grease Special anyway?

Why is Alan Carr presenting it?

Why is Alan Carr on television ever? He is a charmless stereotypical camp man with his endless giggling and double entendres - have we not moved on since the days of Larry Grayson?

Sorry, I can't answer any of your questions, just to say I agree with you. He is one of the most irritating people on tv, along with Keith Lemon, imho. I can't watch either of them.
Ive never seen 'Grease' so recorded it yesterday. I watched about 15 minutes, but couldn't stand the sexist language........certainly couldn't bear Alan Carr either. Most so called 'comedians' rely too much on foul language for my liking!

Are you referring to the sexist language in the film?

It is set in the 1950's, and sadly, attitudes to women were rather less than we would accept now.

That said, to sanitise the language and demeanour would mean the film was not playing properly to its subject matter - so you need to approach the language in context.

It is one of my all-time favourite films!
