I've got really stubborn burnt on food stains on my slow cooker dish and despite endless soakings I can't shift it. Any suggestions?? X

Fill it with a strong solution of biological clothes washing powder in water and leave it to simmer for an hour or two. Rinse well and the burn should come off. Repeat if necessary. Works to clean chip pans as well, just done mine.
Scrape with a knife ?
Leave it to soak with a dishwasher tab in water.

I have burnt pots over the years and there is nothing to beat good quality bleach - just lifts off.
I'm with jenniejoan on this one ..good quality bleach will shift it... It may take a few days but eventually it will all come off... I have just done a Stainless Steel pot that had burnt rice on it...I scraped all the rice off then put bleach over the black part and left it I'd scrub every so often getting more and more off, until eventually it's like new again..
Boil up some rhubarb in it - works like magic !

Do remember to tell us which workds for you
i would recommend leaving it in the outdoors overnight propped up
to let the dew at it
always worked for me over the years
Boiling water and strong salt solution always worked for me.
I've always found that to put some washing-up liquid with water in anything and then bringing to a simmer slowly and simmering for a while will make anything come off.
Cap full of ammonia, place in sealed plastic bag with dish leave for 24hrs the food will fall off. Beware of inhaling the fumes.
I would hate to put bleach in dishes that I intend to cook food!

I use cheap diet coke and heat it then leave it overnight.
I'd go the washing powder route as well.
Try putting water and old fashioned washing powder in it
Bring to top heat, allow to simmer, rinse well after about half an hour
