I read no such article when I posted on here last month.

You don't watch Turkey as close as you thing then.

Guy Taylor - The Washington Times - Thursday, April 7, 2016

Turkey’s military leaders, in the face of rising speculation at home and abroad, took the extraordinary step last week of denying plans for a coup.

But some see Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan using even the rumors of a military takeover as a way to consolidate his already growing powers and curb political dissent.

Them 'some' are absolutely correct.

Do not read the Washington Times. In fact I've never heard of it.

A couple of my other postings...
July 2013, in answer to a question about Egypt
// All very reminiscent of Turkey where there hve been three military coups. The army see themselves as the guardians of the country and when the islamists get too powerful, they remove them. //

November 2007 in answer about fears Turkey will join the EU
// The 2004 timeline for Turkey to become a full member is already behind schedule and will slip further. The 10-15 years will drag to 20-25 years. //
Haha.
Just looked up the Washington Times, its owned by the Moonies and sells less than 60,000 copies
You don't have to read the Washington post to be aware the the Turkish military issued a statement saying there was no plans for a coup. An avid watcher of Turkey would have read it or seen it on the news.
Washington Times even.

So you dismiss what they printed even though it was correct?

Yet you seem upset that Douglas was a tad dismissive of your prediction?
