I have just been diagnosed with' Frozen Shoulder' on the right side.
What is the best painkiller? The hospital did not specify any treatment apart from exercise, any more ideas?

Depends on how bad the pain is I guess. Paracetamol or co-codamol possibly. The key is exercise, did the hospital give you an exercise sheet?

Yes got the exercise sheet. Starting on them today, this was only diagnosed last night.
Who diagnosed that, Eddie? I thought "frozen shoulder" was a layman's description not a proper medical one...

I would take Ibuprofen when the pain is bad...at least 400mgms in one go.
My opinion would be to "monitor the situation for at least a couple of months as it is usually self limiting.......i.e it will go away in time.
If the pain does get bad, then there is always cortisone injections around the shoulder capsule, but i would use that as a "trump card " for later..if necessary.

Take the Ibuprofen, do the exercises, suffer the pain and reassess the situation in about 6-8 weeks.

Sqad Thanks I'v been out for the Ibuprofen , but remembering your advice from previous threads I am taking 600mg a time, rather than the 400 recommended on the box. Seems to be helping so far.
OK...fine EDDIE. Good luck.
