Can anyone help and remind me of the name of the record shop that used to be just up the road from Woolworths in Elm Park, Essex?

Sadly, Blows is incorrect. Blows was opposite The Bull in Hornchurch (now The Fatling )
Carnival Records?
HI, i know its been a while but do you still want to know the answer to this as I lived in Elm Park in the 80s and was always in VideoDisc (the record shop) Hope this helps.
Video Disc was the place! As a DJ back then I was always in there from 1985-1988. They had a good selection of 12" singles (on average £2.80 according to the stickers on the sleeves of the ones I've still got), also got a few one off promos from there every now and again. Can't remember the name of the young guy who worked behind the counter, but he was always very friendly and full of jokes, it was a great place to buy records from.
Carnival Records was there first (late 70'/early 80's) . . . . I can remember buying Gary Numan's We Are Glass single (May 1980) there.
Then there was Video Disc. . . . A shop renting Videos and selling records, then CD's. I seem to remember two ladies running the shop at first (one was called Ruth?). They used to get some pretty good imports too . . . .
Then later on, there was Ian and Lyn. (Maybe this is the guy referred to earlier in this string?) They were a friendly bunch and always willing to help. Happy memories indeed.
Sadly the shop closed and became a front for Havering Poll Tax Collection office I think.
