Hi,
Can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase a battery for
my Packard Bell dot s intel atom N2600 3-cell-Li-ion.
My netbook says i should think about replacing battery so i assume it
is going faulty soon. Is it possible to run my netbook on direct current without harming it.

many thanks

You can use your netbook powered by its mains charger (with the existing battery in place) as long as you like, and with no harm coming to it whatsoever. (There are millions of people who buy laptops/netbooks but never use them powered by their batteries alone).

I'm surprised that your model has only a 3-cell (2200mAh) battery, as the standard battery usually supplied with that model is a 6-cell (4400mAh) one, with this being a suitable replacement:

(Oddly, it's slightly cheaper in white! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/361596055131 )

Thankyou so much for your help. Have checked out the items and will be ordering the white one as i have a white netbook. I too cannot understand why the black one is so much more expensive.

many thanks
