Good afternoon,

What do you get if you have two bank holidays in one month?

Heavier.

That's my experience anyway!

Last month's thread: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Weight-Loss-and-Dieting/Question1489860.html

Last month we were discussing the fact that the reported guidelines keep changing. For example, apparently eating fat doesn't make you fat?

Who knows. In one of the Terry Prachett books one of the Wizards only eat thin, long food as he believes it will make him thinner. We may as well follow this advice :)

Green beans all round then?

Ah but what joy in eating them!
Good morning all,
Hmmmmmm up hummmmmmm
Whoops. Oh dear. Never mind; naughty step this week but there's always next week.

Meanwhile, a non-typical drop over the last 24 hours (possibly due to having a dental appointment around lunch time yesterday, so missing that meal) has bolstered an already lower weight. 2.6 lbs down over the week.

Note to self: must eat more olives ;-)
Perhaps your olive diet would help me. :-))
I think we've lost Wend again this week.
(And indeed all the others that have been here from time to time.)
Yes it looks like it. MAYBE IF WE YELL LOUDLY ENOUGH IT WILL SOUND LIKE THERE ARE MORE OF US.
Sorry I completely forgot yesterday but I weighed this morning and I have stayed the same .nothing new there .
Lucy you! Are you also on OG's olive diet. :-))
Sooo... One up, one the same, one down. Bit of a mixed week.

Have to say I went up over the last 24 hours but still down on the previous Wednesday.

(BTW I have a second pot of unopened olives in the fridge. Bought at the same time as the last pot: I'll have to force myself to have some soon or it'll go past the best before date. It's an awful job but someone has to do it.)
What self discipline you have OG!
That is one thing I cannot eat is olives .just don't like them .
Everyone is different. Took me a while to appreciate them too, but I quite like them now. Prefer green, and prefer quality olives rather than adding other ingredients to so-so olives.
I like the green ones best too. Once in Spain I picked an olive from a tree and OH MY GOODNESS, talk about sour! I also broke a tooth on what was supposed to be a stoneless olive in Spain.
I don't like the fancy pants café olives either. At petrol stations in Spain you can buy huge plastic containers with green olives. Mmmmmmmmmmm
Good morning All,

Today I took a percentage of the last weeks results. I've been weighing myself every day to see if I could make any sense of these swings. Anyhow I'll be starting this new way from today but don't know if I'll keep it up. It's not from every day but at least five.
And your conclusion was good or disappointing news this week ?
I'd gained yesterday since last Tuesday, but that was after the long low control weekend. Hoping that when I awake and weigh myself today that'll have turned around.
It's a tiny bit lower than the one off last Wednesday.
Good Morning both no need to say what mine is . stuck again for another week .
Disastrous week !

I had forgotten lest Wednesday had a sudden drop from the day before, and this Wednesday there is an inexplicable rise from the day before. I was good yesterday, well almost. Went over target just a little bit; but the weight went up another 0.2 lbs.

A rise of 1.6 lbs over the week... allegedly. :-(
...last Wednesday...
Like I actually typed >:-(

Good to hear the rest of us are doing better than I.
Naughty step for you OG. I've just been putting some menus together. I haven't done that for a while so will see if it helps.
