Firefox and Chrome are hiding the http:// or https:// in the address box.

Edge doesn't even show the www. but will show the full address if clicked on !

What do I have to set to stop them hiding this information from me ?

Why would you want to?
I just assumed that we had stopped using that bit.

Because I hate corporations hiding things from me. I may wish to check if a link is secure for one reason, or whether the address really starts www. (some do not). It's as unacceptable as hiding file extensions or any other naturally required information for that matter.
Question Author
They must be still part of the address, or else confusion would reign. Some links are secure, some not, some addresses don't have www. so it seems it has to be that you are just not allowed to see it, because someone else decided you won't.
https:// still showing on my Firefox, http:// isn't.
If you're on a https secure site there will be a padlock in the address bar

Thanks but I was hoping to find a way to stop the address being partial only.
Cheers.
