Go to the doctors!!

Similar happened to me and it was the doctor that recommended a solicitor.

I was hit at a pedestrian crossing with my 4 year old son. Loads of witnesses as it was the school run.

The police did come to see me a couple of days later.

I am due at doctors friday for another reason, made the appointment a month back, just rang them and asked if i can have a home visit and explained,so doc should be ringing me tomorrow then hopefully she can come to me thanks
Have you phoned the police?
Question Author
No,i thought id give them till the morning if ive heard nothing then will ring tomorrow morning
Was this a motorbike or a pedal cycle?
If it was a pedal cycle they are not going to have any insurance so it will come down to sueing the cyclist personally for compensation.
Question Author
motorbike, trial bike with l plates as far as i know, was unmarked police car behind him
I didn't register that bit, Eddie. I was hit by a car.
I would be inclined to ring now rather than leave it. Are we talking motor bike or pedal cycle as the motor cyclist would have to have insurance where you can make a claim through the insurers, if pedal cyclist then you would make a claim through him/her personally.
Hadn't noticed Eddie's response or any following. Same thoughts obviously.
Looks like you will be in line for compensation then. Even if the motorbike is not insured the motor insurance bureau will pay out. It is pedal cycles that are the problem they do not need any sort of insurance at all and there is no agency that will pay out for damage caused by a pedal cycle. I live just outside 'Cycle City' (aka Cambridge) and a traffic cop I know told me that if a pedal cyclist hits you there is near zero chance of any payment.
