Ask yourself, ‘What religious group is noted for sticking closely to God’s Word, even when its teachings differ from the beliefs of most people?

Who stress the importance of God’s personal name, even using it to identify themselves?

Who optimistically point to God’s Kingdom as the only solution to all human problems?

Who uphold Bible standards of conduct, at the risk of being considered old-fashioned?

What group is noted for having no paid clergy, all of its members being preachers?

Who are praised for being law-abiding citizens, even though they refrain from taking part in politics?

Who lovingly spend time and money in helping others to learn about God and his purposes? And despite all of these positive things, who are still looked down on, ridiculed, and persecuted?’

Goodlife Your statement " It is time to Evaluate the Facts " I agree !
Your opening words says it all when you refer to God's kingdom but that is the problem.
How can there be a kingdom without a king. ? You can't prove he/she/it even exists .
You cant See, Hear, Smell, Touch or Taste. this thing you call God.

You claim he/she/it has many desirable attributes but if you cant prove he even exists , they are all irrelevant .

It's shouldn't be difficult , you claim your God can do anything , so just causing all our minds to believe in him, by definition , can not be a problem.
Yet for millennia he has failed !
Goodlife - “It Time To Evaluate The Facts?”

It certainly is. If only you understood the literal meaning of the word “facts”. Which you clearly don't.

Today no more flagrant ignoring of the facts can be found than that dealing with God and his purposes.

Many people conceive God to be what they want him to be, not what he really is. They ascribe qualities to him that he does not have, or take away qualities that he does have. They try to fashion God to an image that suits their fancy, while ignoring the facts that show what he actually is.

For instance, some say Jehovah’s witnesses who call at their homes this: “You preach a cruel and unreasonable God who is going to sweep most of his children away in a horrible battle of Armageddon. You make out that God is not good and kind. I want nothing to do with such a God. You Witnesses consider this world hopeless and so you leave it to perish.”

This is where ignoring of the facts, throughout God’s communication to humanity, the Bible, the theme is emphasized over and over again that one day God’s kingdom will rule this world, taking over the direction of earth’s affairs from the present governments that are ruling by divine permission only. —Rev. 11:17, 18.
goodlife, you keep talking about facts, if you have facts you have proof, where is it?

Well,Proofs of the existence of “the living God.” The fact of the existence of God is proved by the order, power, and complexity of creation, macroscopic and microscopic, and through his dealings with his people throughout history. In looking into what might be called the Book of Divine Creation, scientists learn much. One can learn from a book only if intelligent thought and preparation have been put into the book by its author.

The origin of life and its development from simple to complex is well understood by science. All that is in debate is the exact nature of the chemical processes that led to carbon based self reproducing chemical catalysts (what we mostly know of as "life")

Put some chemicals in a beaker. Any reaction that is catylised by the products of the reaction will tend to occur more often and dominate the solution over time.

Life is really nothing more than a collection of incredibly complex and diverse crystals that are able to turn the chemicals around them into more crystals.

//and through his dealings with his people throughout history. //

We have read about His dealing with people. They are nothing more than the musings of ancient, arrogant, ignorant misogynists.

//In looking into what might be called the Book of Divine Creation, scientists learn much. One can learn from a book only if intelligent thought and preparation have been put into the book by its author. //

The Bible is a hideous tome and it, along with its sibling and cousin texts, should be interred into the annals of history where they belong. Most of the attitudes of prejudice, misogyny and hate among humans can be traced directly to these primitive violent books.

One of the greatest scientific developments of the twentieth century has been the discovery of the DNA. Each of us begins as a tiny ball about the size of a period at the end of a sentence. Our physical characteristics, i.e., height, hair colour, eye colour, etc., are ‘spelled out’ in our DNA. It guides our development into adulthood.

Psalm 139v 16 says “Your eyes saw even the embryo of me, and in your book all its parts were down in writing, as regards the days when they were formed and there was not yet one among them.”

If evolution is true, then it should seem at least reasonably possible that DNA could have come about by means of a series of chance events. If the Bible is true, then DNA should provide strong evidence that it is the product of an orderly, intelligent mind.

Some reading for you.

@goodlife

It requires considerable imagination to believe that the Psalm you quote is referring to anything about DNA.

DNA did come about without the intervention of any intelligent designer.

As for your "proofs" they are rubbish.

1. "Creation demands a Creator".
That would be true per se but the Universe is not a "creation".

2. Life demands a life giver.
Patently false. Life is just an arbitrary definition of a stage reached in a process of chemical evolution. Catalysts in chemical reactions can undergo evolution under the right conditions.

3. Laws demand a law-giver.
No. The fundamental laws of the Universe are simply a matter of a small number of constants. These constants could have been anything. The particular combinations of constants in our Universe are those which can lead to a cognisant life form capable of contemplating their nature.

We have no way to experience things outside universe so other universes built on the about 10^500 possible random combinations are not evident to us.

4. Design demands a designer. This is starting to get repetitive. Yes, design demands a designer but there is no evidence that anything natural in our Universe is designed.

5. Fulfilled Prophecy.
Most of the prophecies of the Old Testament are fulfilled in further unsubstantiated stories. LAter "fulfilments" are always in retrospect where a believer tries to connect a modern event to a description through extremely tenuous analogy. Nobody has ever predicted the future in unambiguous terms. Indeed Christ is supposed to have said that he would return before some of those hearing him had died. Nearly two thousand years late and still no second coming.

6. Answered Prayer.
There is no way to determine the effectiveness of an individual prayer. The prayerful tend only to report those prayers where that appear to have been answered. These are random coincidences. If all prayers including those not answered were accounted for, chance would be the only explanation.

7. A Way of Life that works.
The "proof" quotes the BIble, claiming that man's way only brings death. We are yet to see God's way do anything different.

Like all "proofs" of God, those claims fail miserably for anyone whose brain has not been pickled by religion.
Goodlife, stop lying, nothing written in the bible is 'the word of god'. It is just the history of the Jewish people interspered with the thoughts of some people with a marginal attachment to reality. I defy you to demonstrate otherwise.
I didn't think anyone was still reading Goodlife's preaching.
I forgot myself Naomi, still managing to be polite though..
Haha! Bit of light relief, eh? Makes a change from the referendum. ;o)
//I didn't think anyone was still reading Goodlife's preaching.//

Evidently someone is not only reading but comprehending as well . . . in as much as such is possible.
I was actually responding to the link goodlife posted.

His own writings are as incoherent as ever.
