If someone came knocking your door and your neighbour TOLD you that you had to take them in, would you do that? Then a few weeks later another 10 people came and again, your neighbour TOLD you that you had to take then in, would you? ............ This is what is happening to this country, we are told we must take thousands, if not millions of people into our already overcrowded island. Sorry we are full, no more please. It is time to vote OUT on Thursday.

People still believe our silky tongued snake oil Pedlar. He has no care for the future of the UK. Once he has done his dirty work for the EU and sailed us down the river I bet he resigns and settles down to his new trough with the rest of the lying corrupt European shysters. He isn't qualified for anything else. He cant lead on his own and has to be dictated to by...

Definitely a Brexiter that killed her.

> why then did they not do so?

Not sure what you mean by this, apart from her grieving husband who is surely allowed to say whatever he liked at that point.
Inspirational and amazing? Why? As awful as her death was, I’d never heard of her until last week and I’d guess neither had many others. Emotion seems to be getting the better of some people.
Why? Because she lived a good and full life before becoming an MP at the age of 40. She saw the world, cared for people, held herself to high standards, tried to make a difference ...

I thought she was impressive, and I am not a Labour voter.
Ellipsis, had you heard of her before last week - and did you find her inspirational before last week?
Yes, heard of her slightly in that I follow politics a bit and she did make an amusing maiden speech. No, not inspirational, as I did not pay that much attention to her, but her death has brought more attention and it's clear she was unusual and would have made a very good MP had she been allowed to - I wish there were many more like her.
Okay, but is that a reason for people to change their vote on Thursday?
Svejk, I never mentioned crop rotting in the fields. I did answer a question about how crops were harvested before we had the EU temporary workers.
Britain leaves EU, value of pound and property plummets, Arabs and Russians buy up most of London, St Pauls converted into a mosque. Russian mafia take over house of lords.Thankfully it won't happen...
> Okay, but is that a reason for people to change their vote on Thursday

No, but the main issue now is not to get people who have already made their minds up to switch, it's to get people who haven't made their minds up to make their minds up. So it's not so much "change their vote" as "make their minds up".
Ellipsis, but what I'm saying is that this tragedy shouldn't influence the way people vote..... should it?
No, but what it does do is draw Undecided voters' attention to a posthumous politician's voice that they probably have not heard before. They have heard politicians like Cameron, Osborne, Corbyn, Johnson, Gove and Farage, but not Cox - and she was in many ways more admirable than the other six I mentioned, and therefore could possibly persuade the Undecideds where they couldn't.
Ellipsis, I get the impression that those who are influenced by her death aren't influenced by what she said; rather that they are allowing their emotions to guide them.
That would be bad. But there are two types of decision, emotional and logical, and most are made on an emotional ("gut") basis ...
I do hope not.

What 'temporary' workers would they be. eddie?
As I pointed out, we used to have them.
Round here they weren't travellers, they were the unemployed topping up with cash-in-hand field work.
I remember women and children going tatie picking in the autumn holidays.
