I went to the Dropbox to read this month's papers ahead of next week's meeting and I can't open anything. Some are pdfs, others are word or excel.

Normally I click on the folder then the document and they open automatically. Today all documents, both old and new, just give a small icon in the centre of the page where it normally opens. If I download it will open, but I don't want to download any of them. I just want to read them and move from one to another with ease.

What can have changed since last month when I last used the box. (I'm using and awlays use an ipad if it matters)

Anyone around this morning who can help with this one?
I assume its a shared folder?

Try uploading a known working file of your own and see what happens.

Sadly I don't really have access to any working files on my ipad and besides, the other members of the folder would be able to see it if I did.

I have looked in a different shared folder and that's the exact same. These are documents that have been in their forever. Same happens with the documents the meeting organiser has just posted in there.
I have just checked my own Dropbox folder, and all files are opening for me on my iPad.

Trying doing a a full iPad restart. Hold the Power and Home button until the iPad reboots.
Then try the Dropbox folder again.

Good idea Gromit I'll do that now.
Are you using the App or using the website?

If you are using the app, try deleting it and then re-download it. That will remove any corrupted data.

I have switched off fully and on again, but no change. I am using the website. I can open the docs but have to download them first, most strange.
Try a different browser, or better still download the free Drobox App for iPad.
