Is 63 -, before fruit, tree sawn down?
I don't know 63 but these thought may trigger some ideas:
A+
before fruit could be seed/pip (or pre-date!)
tree sawn down could be log/timber or the name of a tree with a letter or two chopped off
For 63 tree sawed down could be hewn
I wondered if 63 might begin with ACID (sounds like A SEED) but although there are a few such songs I can't see one that also covers the 'tree sawn down' bit
ACID DROPS (by Public Image)?
Anyone got 43 yet?
There was Slip Sliding Away by Paul Simon as well as all the "I can't stop"/ "don't stop" answers. But it's the final 'halt' that's puzzling me- that would suggest another reference to stop, stay, wait, hang on...
Just had another thought for 43- was thinking of 'careering' for no brakes and noticed buzz was down as a synonym for the verb career.
Buzz stop= Bus Stop.
May prompt some ideas

I have also thought of skiing for no brakes but can't justify Skiing in the Snow. There are various songs about sliding too (Slide Away, Slip Sliding away, Slip and Slide, but I can't then find anything for Halt. I vaguely recall a Slide Stop but can't find such a track
