Well that's a no then, didn't know that. Ive been getting a 3 month prepayment certificate since iv had an op so guess i will have to pay £120 for the privilege of hrt every year.
Free at the point of delivery eh ?
I get similar bills for my blood pressure tablets :-(
Check what sort of HRT you get. The one my wife had was two different pills and they counted as seperate prescriptions (so at todays prices, £16.80 a month!). In this case its well worth the £104 for a pre payment certificate, which I use for blood pressure pills, hayfever stuff, and of course anything else I might need.
If you take only one type of HRT then ask your GP for a three month prescription - then it will cost you £33.60 per year.

Of course you don't have to take HRT, it's your choice

It would be hrt patches. As whether a choice or not, ive had a hysterectomy and need to replace oestrogen only for my bones. So is this classed as a choice, i dont know. Im sure i was told initially the patches were free on the NHS.
