Stoooopid choice, just because he buys a few Ferraris doesn't qualify him to present a car show.
Even if he talked sense and was funny as hell I still wouldn't want him as a presenter with that goddawful voice.
He is ugly with a squeaky voice and full of himself. Maybe after 6 minutes it got better but I had seen enough.
We watched it but never again. Biggest load of junk yet on tv.
It has sullied the memory of the real Top Gear.
To me, the program looked unchanged....if you used some kind of software to impose the previous presenters heads, on top of the shoulders of the ones last night, nobody would be able to tell the difference.
boring .............. I use to laugh out loud with Jeremy and co but this ugh!!!!!
It was dreadful beyond words. It demonstrates how the smug BBC is out of touch wih its audience if they think they can get away with regurgitating Clarkson's format with these dreadful presenters
If the BBC being smug results in productions like The Hollow Crown then long may it be smug.
Well personally, I found the original version becoming more and more contrived and repetitive as time went on, This top gear format needs to be given time, I'm sure the bbc knew that everyone would be comparing this to the last, more established version of the show so the reactions from the die hards would be predictable. I say like with all new ventures, give it time to iron out the creases.

After all your remarks, I have decided not to watch it which has saved an hour of my life.

I bet JC is smiling at all the comments in the media?
Only 4.4 million viewers last night and Evans has said he would be “disappointed” with fewer than five million viewers tuning in: “Five million-plus would be great, after that it doesn’t matter.”
they impersonate the Clarkson era, badly I'm afraid. LeBlanc is totally wrong. Evans is awkward. Liked the rally cross idea but overall not a patch on May, Hamster and the ape.
Seems Matt is the only one to come out of this with any credit. Well done him.
I've watched about half of it so far, and it's better than I feared. Matt is quite good and when Evans calms down a bit it might work out

Evans has a 2 page car review in the Event Magazine (MoS) every week, the car rarely gets a mention before page 2, page 1 is always 'How great, smart annoying and ginger am I' waste of space imo.
I watched it on BBCiplayer earlier. Get rid of Evans and it may work.
Schmitt and Leblanc OK, Evans needed a kick up the Jacksie.

I watched the last 20 minutes, and I thought LeBlanc look bored most of the time, and in Blackpool he looked really pi@@ed off, don't blame him though, but he was getting paid by us!
I made no effort to watch it on Sunday, but changing channels last night came across the repeat.

As expected, it was the Chris Evens Shouting Programme.

His pathetic mimicking of Jeremy Clarkson made it worse. I gave it ten minutes and it was like watching a tramp wearing someone else's bespoke suit.

It appears then , that new top gear is just as rubbish as the old top gear.
No Bazile. It is MUCH worse than.
