Ruddy appalling ! But it would never be allowed in Britain, thanks goodness.
I don't get it, how is this racist?
^Maybe because his dip in the washing machine changed him from an African to a Chinaman. ;o)
Old_Geezer

I think that forcing someone into a washing machine could be described as abusive.

Racist - yes, but there are other issues with that advert, and over here it wouldn't get shown because of the racism, and also - you don't want to give kids ideas. Up and down the country, children might very well eye their younger siblings wondering whether they could change their colour by putting in for a 60° wash.

Remember when Tango had to alter the original 'You've been tangoed' advert?
Orderlimit..............I take it that your question at 08:14 was meant as some kind of joke ?
I personally don't see it as racism mikey, silly and all that yes. Is the black male actor also guilty of racism?

But mostly the ad was met with apathy, perhaps because there is limited public debate about racism in China, where a best selling toothpaste is still called “Black Man Toothpaste” more than two decades after its English name was changed from Darkie to Darlie!!!!!!
I think the Asian woman and the white skinhead on the see saw was far more racist !
Orderlimit............everybody associated with the advert should be ashamed of themselves, but if you can't see that, then I am not sure what else I can say !
Humour, RIP.
