I have pain when I urinate and when I sit, around the uretha area.

Do I need to the doc or will the nurse do?

Sounds like cystitis. Owch ! You may need a Pee test and antibiotics. See your GP and drink loads and loads of water to wash out the bacteria. Poor thing, I sympathize.

Hi jackdaw

My guess is that it could be prostrate related, which can be treated, but I am not a doctor so best to make an appointment, be insistent and see your GP tomorrow, if possible and best of luck to you.
Cystitis Jackdaw. Urine test, antibiotics, and no more pain. After two days you will feel an improvement. Do not delay.
Are you a male Jackdaw ?
Yes
Well then yes. Could be other things. Please go and get it sorted, it must be horrible.
Whether cystitis, kidney stones, prostate problem, or something else, jackdaw.....your GP will know

All the best
How are you both feeling today Islay and Jackdaw ?
Not as much discomfort as recently but back still aches when I stand. Have started on the barley water régime as suggested. Will give it till the weekend and if no improvement by Monday will make appointment with GP.
Jackdaw , considering what you said last night and the fact you may have to wait for an appointment my advice would be to make one now, if things clear up in the meantime it won't matter.

Better safe.

Islay hope you get some relief soon too.

Couldn't get a nurse or doctor appointment after explaining to the receptionist the issue she said drop a sample in and she will get the nurse to check for infection after hours and suggested that whilst I'm waiting to here I pop to the chemist for cystitis relief. Our receptionist is lovely if you explain the issue
The quiz after that one is a little more difficult. You have to identify people from their death masks. I managed 84% but that included some guesses.
The OTC treatments can be very helpful, so well worth trying Islay.
Oh JD, cystitis can't be that bad !
I posted on the wrong thread. It was meant for the British icon one.
Jackdaw, it's Bank Holiday on Monday, you won't be able to make an appointment on Monday. Ring them tomorrow.
Forgot about that, Tilly. When you're retired you tend not to notice bank holidays.
I know, Jackdaw. Lovely, isn't it?
