No surprise is it? LVG had his moment of glory but he could very easily have been sacked. With so many teams underperforming this could have been a title winning year. Entertainment value just hasn't been there all season and the fans expect that and more...
To coin a phrase " The Ego Has Landed". Ric ror and Arks are doing somersaults.(^_*)
Oh yes I orgasmic... wow somebody has a crystal ball.

Good to see United learned from the fiasco that was the Moyles Sacking and did exactly the same thing again.
Will the Special One get rid of Mata?
LVG was unable to guarantee a slice of champions league pie - and it is considerable, never mind any share of TV income...

Well I did not want him the first time he wanted to come
I actually wanted moyes or pep (I also thought we should join the euro) but I realise that it's Jose hearts desire to come to the theatre of dreams

Imagine the titanic battles between city and their better more famous and more successful neighbours. It's a very tantalising prospect
I wonder what dave is thinking?

LVG sacked yet still gets a £5m pay-off

One loser for a bunch of losers.....any female doctors at the Dream Centre to attack?
so if all they do is retain the fa cup will he be sacked as well?
Good. He is very easy on the eye :-)
the eff-all cup means nothing now, it seems, ael.......
Football managers get the sack all the time. However, I think the media treatment of LVG prior to the announcement has been disgraceful as was the announcement that Mourinho had been paid £4M not to sign for any other team before the announcement.

This stinks of all that is wrong with Premiership football these days. It never ceases to amaze me that the working man pays to watch players getting paid anything from £50K to £250K per WEEK!!! just to kick a ball, occasionally, during a period of 90 minutes a week. Of course they train for 8 hours a day on top of that.
I sometimes wonder if these managers are secretly pleased when they are moved on.
I think you could be right there Hopkirk... with the amount of money banded about... I'd be quite secretly happy to move on.
