According to Ringo Starr he did.

Surely his parents would have known. I wouldn't have gone along with the pretence if it was my son.

Or has Ringo gone ga ga ?

If he did you will find him stacking shelves in Sainsburys
...alongside Elvis Presley, no doubt.

Hmm.

But (on a news feed on my Facebook page) Ringo Starr has confirmed it because he didn't want to die with the lie still not told.

Personal I don't care but it would be a really interesting thing if it were. A lookilikey that was as adept as the original.
"(on a news feed on my Facebook page) " says it all.
Ringo had a sly sense of humour, along with the rest of them.
Dunno bout carters but football died in 1966
Ive got some books by an author called albert Jack and he writes bokks about myths, and legends etc and heres what he had to say.

Dave..
looks like this story was revived a year ago. And still Paul hasn't confirmed hs own death.
The loonies come up with all sorts of claims regarding this, but I've never seen any of them explain the practicalities (disposal of the body, persuading emergency services, etc to keep mum, avoidance of inquest, and so on).
I don't know what to say, say, say o:)
:-) Maybe no one has tried the glass and cards jno

Anyway judging from the standard of the music I think he must have popped off shortly after 1970.
Very curt OG and I think you winged him
Don't believe anything that Bonzo says...
did they have lookalikes of the other beatles on standby just in case they came to an untimely end?
Just got about half way into the piece written by Albert Jack and very nearly PMSL, so i couldn't continue. What tosh!
This hoary old conspiracy theory has been going around for years.

It's quite entertaining - the lengths people will go to, in order to stretch the truth to fit their myth.

My favourite one here, is the VW Beetle (hint hint!) car on the Abbey Road cover, with the number plate 28 IF.

The theorists version? Paul would have been 28 'if' he had lived.

The reality? the car belonged to someone who worked in an office nearby, and it was parked there most days!

Never let having a life get in the way of this kind of nonsense!
Odd how the LMV at the start of the number plate is ignored. If it were a clue, why not his initials, JPM?
Yeah..probably..., but I believe I saw Michael Jackson working on a Pretzel and nuts stand at Sea World in Florida last year, so I wouldn't count what I think as gospel. :-)
and there’s a man works down the chip shop swears he’s Elvis. Ringo is a humourist.
