Has anyone out there any experience of loaning their property out to a film company? I'd love to hear about any good or bad experiences and which Film Locations Agency did you use (if any)?

Haven't done it personally but a friend has (in west London), and said it was great fun - she met some famous actors (can't remember who) and was paid a lot of money.
The only drawback seemed to be that the trailers and vans took up most of the parking spots in the road, and the neighbours had to be placated with champagne. Go ahead. A new experience.
My paddock & stables for Rollerball @ £6k (twas a lot of dosh at the time). 4days for 1 min clip! Blink & you miss it ;)
And...a lamb for Metal Mickey, peacocks, geese & wolfhound to Animal Actors at £100 per day.
The WMC i used to frequent was used in scenes from a drama called "Dawn And The Candidate". Aired in 1989, the plot was that a posh boy from the south attempts to become a Tory MP in a typically anti-Tory northern town (Burnley) and he seduces a single mother (Dawn - of the title). A group of us were paid about £40 to b filmed playing snooker and just sitting there chatting (which we would have been doing for free, anyway) scenes which obviously ended up on the cutting room floor. The club itself did quite well, though, from a financial point of view being well recompensed for the use of the building (one or two scenes from inside the club did make it into the final cut). The most famous person in this production was Anne Reid (Last Tango in Halifax) but i don't recall her ever being in the scenes at the club, so i can't say i met her.
if they ever remake steptoe and son, my property is available at a price

lol ael...send them to me for the horse & cart......and I can holler 'crap for scrap ;)
