I am not at all awake and am unable to write anything sensible about this strange story.

I was going to put it in the News section but did not know if they would be amused/bemused/unamused or whatever

Well the number of reported animal inflicted injuries over a decade isn't too high and I'm not sure how tough one would need to be to resist a charging elephant.

Interesting link Susan.
not alot they can do re charging elephants & snakes,

I was surprised that there were enough injuries to constitute a problem.

Getting between mummy elephant and baby elephant is never going to be a good mood.

It's the Yorkshire Terriers (aka Yorkshire Wolfhounds) and Jack Russells that they will 'really' have to look out for.
annnnd small girls,if grand daughters any thing to go by,(their dade x army)
Only 20 or so animal related injuries in the past 10 years!! I bet more have been injured opening tins of food. Hardly a story at all.
