"A day like the 23rd will not be a day for soundbites, we can leave those at home, but I feel the hand of history will be upon our shoulders with respect to this, I really do.
Do you, too?

Jackdaw, I hope you're right but I'm not convinced. The puppets seem so very afraid of letting go of the strings that are manipulating them and becoming 'real boys'.
As I have said before elsewhere, the Leave brigade are far more passionate than the Remainers. They will move heaven and earth to get to the polling stations. That fact alone fills me with confidence.
In case anyone missed this, it is worth watching;
Stupidity will reign as it always has done. Out is the right choice. But when do we ever make the right choice?
I shall vote out, then quietly dwell in some peaceful oasis, until the inevitable deluge ensues. I MISS OLD ENGLAND.....;
I want OUR England. Immigrants or whatever, it doesn't matter - it has to be ours to shape and nurture.
Some of us are in the latter stages of our lives and were born into a free and independent Britain. We have a duty to give our grandchildren and their children that privilege. We would be shamed for all time to surrender the rights that our own forefathers fought for, and their women suffered penury and hardship to gain, and meekly hand over to a gangster corrupt regime our beautiful country. We have let a fifth column infest the land, for want of a better phrase, because we have had it easy in comparison to our ancestors . If we are not brave enough to say no more of this, we will condemn our children to more of it. They will rightly despise us. Not on our watch please, we cannot let it happen. The consequences will be violent eventually if we stay in. Out. Out flee for your lives if that is what it has to feel like, but let us get out.
Can't argue with that, Togo. Pity your remarks do not have a wider audience.
Jackdaw feel free to cut and paste it anywhere that you think it fits. I will. Send it to all your mates on email or faeces book. I have just posted the script to my siblings( some will fume) haha.
Come the revolution Togo, but the revolution won't come.
We are a mere shadow of our fore fathers. They were lions led by donkeys. We are more like sheep, herded by wolves.
King Arthur sleeps, Drake's drum is silent. I don't know why I bother, go's off into the distance muttering....
In 1992, after losing the general election to John Major, Neil Kinnock said, in a fit of pique, "Britain has voted to live on its knees".

Let us hope that on June 24th we will be able to say, "Britain has got off its knees".

The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
It's important that you vote whatever side you're on.
I'm surprised nobody noticed my question was based on a Blair quote. :-))
Why do some think that if the vote is to remain it is a fix instead of a right and proper vote?

We're not some banana republic where boxes of ballots from areas where an unfavourable vote might be expected never get to be opened. The result, whatever way it goes, will be fair. I can't see, either, why anyone would think it won't be fair.
I don’t understand the ‘hands up, roll over and die’ attitude of the Remain camp. If, as you say, we will be unable to negotiate a special agreement, without the other restrictions, rules and regulations Europe imposes upon us we’ll still have more control over our own affairs if we leave. Furthermore, as one voice among twenty-seven the argument that we can change Europe from within doesn’t wash. We can’t and we won’t. We have objected to something like 75% of Europe’s initiatives but nevertheless we are bound by them. Sorry, but I really can’t see what’s in it for us.
Sorry, ^that was to Eddie.
What EU? Do any of you think that there will still be an EU ten years from now?
I absolutely love Togo's post at 23:47, wish I could have put it so well. I do fear for my childrens future if we remain, I really do.
