I'm looking for a climber for a south facing fence/trellis, to be pot grown. Ideally I'd like it to be a pretty pink, white or lavender colour. It will be right by my new patio so I would love it to be extremely fragrant. And if it flowers for a long time, even better!

By the way, I HATE Passion flowers! I think they look creepy!

Thanks in anticipation.

I'm no gardener. However a look at the plants shown as 'container friendly' here might be a good starting point:

This can also be fun to play with:

(The 'Garden type' option lets you choose 'Patio & Container Plants'. There's a 'Noted for fragrance' box at the foot of the page).
Jasmine or honeysuckle. They smell beautiful.
Sweet pea.
Trachelospermum jasminoides. You won't regret it.
Akebia quinata, lovely vanilla scent.

Jasminum stephanense, Flowers through June & July*
Another one that I meant to mention is: Berberidopsis corallina. I once grew this over an arbor, it literally dripped nectar, so was very attractive to bee's and far as I recall, flowered all summer long.
my vote would be a jasmine and honeysuckle grown mixed together. Use the biggest tub you have room for and add gel crystals to the soil mix (JI no 3 or rose tree and shrub)
