I have one of these beasties, and the battery life isn't brilliant. I have looked on ebay to see if I can get an in-car charger, but I haven't had much success.

I am away from home for a few hours every day, and I was chased out of ASDA yesterday, for plugging it into one of their sockets !

Can anyone help ?

And of course, eBay itself avoids UK tax in the same way as Amazon, Google, Starbucks and Apple - and many others.

HC...are my assumptions at 13:36 correct ?
To be honest, mikey, I don't know. I use 5A chargers to charge everything. my eBook reader, smartphone and Nexus tablet.

Thanks hc....you have been very helpful.
The reason I had problems with the 1.5A car charger was I using my Nexus tablet as a satnav - which drains the battery very quickly. I started out with my tablet fully charged and after 4.5 hours driving it will be flat, despite being connected to the car charger. This is not ideal and internet research showed it was a common problem and the solution was to use a 5A charger.
Now when I reach my destination the tablet is still fully charged.
robocop, I up your eBay's £1.2 tax paid by Amazon's £11.9 m.

Amazon employs more than 7,800 permanent employees in the UK - it might be hard work but it ain't down t'pit.

I am just laughing that Mikey ,like a true tax paying patriot ,refuses to deal with Amazon and admits is happy to buy so much of his goods through E-bay.
Stealing his electricity from Starbucks would be the icing on the cake. Lol
I know, retrocop. :)

The main reason that I won't use Amazon, is their treatment of their staff, not the tax implications. After all, there are lots of people and Companies in Britain who are leary when it comes to paying tax.

I still maintain that you don't have to use Amazon, as there are plenty of other just as convenient ways to purchase goods. For instance I use LED Hut, and Cult Pens, that I can recommend to everyone.
