Know the answer to this but just want to be reassured I am correct.

My next door neighbour's new husband has got a van and is now parking in front of my tiny garden. I live in a cul-de-sac so no kerb - am I right in saying he can park where he likes as he is paying his tax, insurance etc.

My view is completely cut-off so what is happening and makes me sad after 33 years living here that when he goes I park my car leaving my drive free.

I do not want to be caught up in this really as it is so childish.

Reassurance please and thanks - oh forgot to say we are like open plan so when he gets out he can easily walk on my garden (Petty I know)

thanks to ask your gran

I am not a petty person no matter how I am portrayed here and it upsets me to let a van annoy me as there is so much sickness around which is far far more important than a van.

Askyourgran, Jenny does say it's not blocking her driveway, just her view.
Yes you are correct Baldric. I read the OP where jj said it was parked in front of her garden, bit I didn't notice her later post saying that her drive was clear. Even so it is not nice being 'overlooked'.

Agreed
I live 'with a view' and can understand 100%, someone blocking mine would send my stress through the roof. I'd start off again with speaking to the neighbour or his partner and explain you live alone and the view is important to you. If that doesn't work I'd play helpless and ask as many people as I could for help- other neighbours, Citzens Advice and certainly my local parish council.

thanks all - end of story is "Know the Answer to this" -

I'm just thinking anyhoo - this will alert to me "new build bungalows" if any thing came up

Never ever ever in a million years I woulda thought of living such a beautiful place now I am. One doesn't know what is around the corner.

My neighbours are so fabulous but whilst I don't blow my horn I am kind to my neighbours too - particularly to this troublesome neighbour - she has had 6 kids to a variety of men and I have been so kind to them (sorry if I am blowing my big head here).

Anyway please God - something "happens" - who knows
