I had wild garlic pesto for the first time the other day which I really liked. Due to an inability to get hold of wild garlic though, I thought I would have a go making some rocket pesto. I have never eaten it before. What`s it like - nice? ( I know "nice" is subjective but I just wondered if it actually tastes of much)

Never tried it, but my guess is that it would depend on the other ingredients. It's lettuce, which isn't a good start, but on the other hand it's chopped up so the awful leafy texture disappears, which is great. Shove in some garlic, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil, and it should be quite good, surely ?

OG - I imagine it would taste peppery.
I love rocket but sometimes it can be a bit overpowering. I've never tried it as a pesto but reckon it would work really well.

Make some and let us know how it goes ;)
I love it; it can be quite peppery but that suits our tastes - and the pine nuts help too.

Yes, I like the pine nuts. The wild garlic pesto I had contained walnuts. I don`t like them but I couldn`t detect any taste from them. I would stick with pine nuts

Captain2 - do you make it or buy it? If you make it, how long does it keep in the fridge once it`s been opened?
