I have a small garden and a cat has recently started to use it as a toilet.

So far I have tried...
- putting twigs down
- tethering plastic bags
- curry powder
- bought cat repellent
- wire mesh on the high walls
- wd40 on the walls
- an ornamental cat on the wall.
- I have a motion detecting security light

Nothing has worked. I have never seen the cat, only its business.

Any proven remedies I could try?

A cat is a tiny animal - my little boy is 5.5kg - and they don't have big brains. Yet they are one step ahead of us in everything. We should be ashamed at our inability to win any war with the pesky felines.

Hope the video helps - YouTube have a few similar ones but this one is by a cat charity so they may not mention shotguns etc.

Thanks to everyone who replied :-)
The cats round here don't bother to bury their poo, and every time I dig over a garden bed, they seem to take it as an invitation. I use sticks an twigs and arrange them sticking up with some across as well, but they still keep coming. It is cats, I m always trying to scare them out of the garden, and t poo really stinks because of the highly smelly cat food.
