He doesn't usually bother about St Andrew 's Day...
The only saints day he bothers with is Paddy's day. Even then he's got the logo wrong, a four leaf clover instead of a shamrock.
i expect he just uses what's available on Clip Art :-)
only if the Ed decides to Mondayise it, I expect.
We had daffs for taffs.
Already a thread headed St Gearges Day motif
I have never understood why we go overboard for St Patrick's day and hardly acknowledge out own patron saint.
On St Patrick's day my local pub had all the staff dressed in green hats and T shirts with happy St Patrick's day Logos, special offers on beer and a special menu. The entire pub was decorated with flags and bunting.
Today there is just an offer of Steak and Kidney pie at a £1 off.
I think because there are so many Irish around the world...or Irish decent at least. My aunt sent pics of Paddy's day celebrations from Thailand.

The English just don't celebrate it like the Irish do and I suspect that's due to emigration. There was no work in Ireland so we didn't have a choice but to leave so their 'Irish' day was celebrated.

Saying that it's highly celebrated in Ireland also.
And another thing (and I'm not anti British) when I've been out on Georges day there are police cars and riot vans all over the place. It seems to attract the thugs.

That doesn't happen on Paddy's day.

Yeah that would attract the thugs.
I don't know what you mean, Togo?

It's just the police are expected trouble, especially at a weekend.
It's a disgrace, England's national day not celebrated.....even if it was a pic of the Bard's ugly mug being his birthday today as well as his Quadricentennial, that would be better than three yellow flowers and bees. However, St George's flag should be showing.

“I see you ABers stand like Chilldoubt in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The Arksided game's afoot;
Follow your spirit: and upon this charge,
Cry — God for AOG! England and Saint George!”
Me, a Welshman, mentioned in prose about St George?! I'm touched.
Ironically, today is my late father's birthday.
It's my mother's birthday as well, and also Barry Hawkins' - he's playing Ronnie O'Sullivan at the Crucible re the snooker
ps St George wasn't English - he was some Greek or Syrian immigrant - he probably came in on the undercarriage of a chariot.

Handy Guy to have around if you're having Dragon problems tbf.
