2 tablespoons of malt vinegar
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup
2 rounded tablespoons of brown sugar

Mix together well. Pour over your spare ribs making sure they are all covered in the sauce. Cook with a lid in the oven on a very low heat for 3-4 hours. Amazing!

I have an even simpler one.

Coca Cola
salt
pepper
same cooking technique
Dr. Pepper works too!
Quiz, do the ribs come out covered in sweet n sour sauce with your receipe??? Or is this just a tenderiser?
thank you, I usually pressure cooker my ribs then add a glaze and grill, will try this.
I use a similar one.....

2 parts tomato ketchup
1 part soy sauce
1 part honey or golden syrup
1 part brown sugar

Add lemon or lime juice, garlic, ginger, chilli etc as required.

Will certainly try yours with vinegar though
try maple syrup rather than honey or golden, hammerman.

I also add a tot of bourbon or rum to the mix, as well as Tabasco.
I also use a lighter vinegar - I love white wine vinegar made from a Sauterne...a little sweet and sour!
