I have no idea how to find VAT out using a calculator
When I tried dividing by 100 and x 20 I got a different figure from when I used an on-line calculator
Its important I find the correct way to use the calculator - so any help would be appreciated

I apologise to Eccles then - but I don't like your cakes :-))
I'm still not clear whether the initial question has been interpreted correctly or not. It depends whether you want to calculate the VAT due on a net price or whether you want to work back from the full price (inc VAT) to find the price net of VAT
LOL nothing brings out the spats (apart from News maybe) like maths questions on here - or come to that such lengthy explanations that would put most people off.
FF.....does it matter as Ric has been given both ways of doing it.
Anyone remember when we first joined the EEC and VAT was 5%?
