I have British Gas Homecare including plumbing and water supply pipe cover

I also have Homeserve water supply pipe , internal hot and cold water pipes and stop tap , cover .

Last year the homeserve premium was £ 27 ( i was going to cancel it then , but left it ) .
This year they want a premium of £ 42 , (negotiated down )

I obviously have duplicate cover and was thinking of definitely cancelling the homeserve cover this year .

However , i'm thinking that because the British Gas cover is limited to up to £ 1000 per claim out , whether it's wise to keep the homeserve cover as well ( i dont know what a typical claim would cost )

The homeserve cover is up to £ 3000 , per claim .

What's your opinion ?

I think (and don't quote me on this) that the most expensive problem that you might have could be a problem with your water supply pipe, that will involve digging up the pipe in your drive or garden. My feeling is that that could cost over £1,000, so you might as well stay with Homeserve, all other things being equal.
