2 tragedies, maybe different circumstances, but 2 babies dead because of the parents lifestyles ( which they chose).
The lunatics are running the asylum.
I don't think alcoholics 'chose' to be alcoholics. They need treatment. We don't know anything about her back story and what turned her to drink. Most alcoholics have a story to tell.

The courts and social services will know her issues and hopefully will be treating her.
I hope you're right, ummmm. How does a 5 month old baby get cocaine and alcohol in his body without it being given deliberately?
I really don't know.
" her back story?" she chose to continue abusing alcohol when she had a newborn baby. That is why the baby is dead. Any addiction is dreadful for the person struggling. But either get treatment or allow the baby to be in a safe environment at least.
Whatever the reasons, whatever the excuses, a baby is dead and the mother should be held accountable.
Yes she should.
I didn't say she shouldn't be held accountable, like my answer to Viv, I'm surprised she wasn't.
I know you're not comparing the two aog, just pointing out two terrible incidents of mothers killing their kiddies. I would dearly love to have five minutes alone with the mother of toddler Ayeshia, but I won't say what I'd love to do or I may be suspended. I hope and pray she is sentenced to many, many years behind bars.

/// AOG...you posted links to both stories in your OP so why would you expect me, or anyone else, to not think you're comparing them. ///

I have already explained to you, why I posted both stories, and no way did I do so to make a comparison, and it is only you who seems to have a problem with it. (I have also told you this before)

Before criticising my choice, perhaps you would do better to take a look at what you post, this for instance.

A young child has been killed here for **** sake.

Thank you viv41.

Be interesting to see how long her partner gets also, who incidentally was convicted of allowing or causing her death, whatever that means, surely it should be accessory to murder?

Maybe it carries the same sentence aog, we will have to wait and see, but I truly hope he too goes away for a long, long time. Hopefully, prison will be hell on earth for them. I saw an 'ex friend' of the mother interviewed on TV last night and she recounted how little Ayeshia used to be hit hard, 'very hard' by this vile creature and I couldn't help thinking 'did you do anything to help her '. Did anybody ??!

If it was left to me, both of them and others like them, would have their ability to bring children into the world, taken away from them.
Totally agree.
