I thought Eurovision was a "singing" contest with a vote for your best friends at the end, now they decide to throw a political statement in as well, after what happened in Sweden you would think this is the last thing they would be singing and dancing about.

"The Eurovision Song Contest will highlight the plight of refugees during this year's competition, the show's organisers have confirmed."

It would do better to focus on the plight of the Swedes, parts of whose country now resemble a vast transit camp. But that’s the Swedes for you. Organise a so-called singing competition and they dedicate it to people who are systematically destroying their country.

It won't happen, but I would like to think the UK would just walk away from it.
And to think I was ridiculed when I suggested that Korea may be invited to join the EU sometime soon. The Eurovision "Song" contest is the precursor to EU candidacy.
The Eurovision Song Contest is an anachronism in the 21st century...I am amazed that we are still contemplating taking part, or that we here on AB, are actually debating this non-entity at all. And that includes me, so I am bowing out of the debate.
Year after year I am amazed it is still going.
My thoughts to, Mamya.
Mamy...if I hadn't bowed out of this debate, I would agree with you !
Will they be forced to vote again?
Mikey, //I am amazed that we are still contemplating taking part, or that we here on AB, are actually debating this non-entity at all.//

Mamyalynne, //Year after year I am amazed it is still going.//

This is about far more than the Eurovision Song Contest. Is that thing about lemmings a fallacy?
Sir Terry, why did you leave us? You were the only one who told it like it is.
Should Mr Kim star for NK, wailing a tuneless oriental dirge, you can bet your sweet ass he will win!!
