'E' NVI (non-value indicator) stamps pay for a postal item, not exceeding 20g, to be delivered to any country classed, for postal purposes, as 'Europe' by Royal Mail's 'International Standard' service.

The current price for such a service (and hence the value of any 'E' stamp) is £1.00

My belated thanks, Buenchico, for your very thorough answer about stamps denominated "E".
Stuff the EU.
It's nothing to do with the EU.

It's all to do with the UPU (Universal Postal Union), which we joined slightly earlier than the EU. 1st July 1875, in fact!

;-)
Aww, come on Chris, you know the OUTers never let facts get in the way of their bigotry.

It`s not the OUTERS who are bigoted, it`s the federasts who can`t get off their knees and, like Cameron, want to grovel for ever before the European bureaucrats. Stuff the EU.
