I have just changed my car battery for the first time(in this car)Which has now made my radio inoperable.I have checked out the code in the manual, one of the numbers is a 7 but the press buttons only go up to 6.Also when putting in a number a space comes after it,not very clear I know. Can someone please tell me the correct procedure to "clock in".Thanks!

Is it the original radio ?. What make model and year is your car, codswallop ?.
Hi,
We're not able to give codes, but if you give the make, model (including any special badges (R-Type, SE, that kind of thing) and the year that would help people to answer your question.

The buttons one to six would be radio presets. Is there one button you have to press 7 times to get a seven ?
See if this helps.

I don't know about that OG. I'm blocked from viewing your suggestion tonyav
Just press the first button the amount of times that your code is and then the second button for the second number and so forth.
See if this one works for you.

In case you're unable to view the Youtube videos offered to you:

I used to deliver used ex-contract cars to auction sites for a living. I liked to have the radio on when I was driving but, on hundreds of occasions, the radio needed a code entered. So I became an expert on entering the codes!

Assuming that the standard technique (used by Ford and others) is needed and, for example, assuming a code of '3784', you need to do the following:

Press button 1 repeatedly, until the first digit shows '3'. (If you accidentally press it too many times don't worry. Just keep on pressing it; you'll get there eventually).

Press button 2 until you've got '7' as the second digit.

Press button 3 until you see '8' in the third position.

Press button 4 until you see '4' displayed.

Then press button 5 to complete the code entry process.

Well, that's just told everyone how to sort a nicked Ford radio!
Er, no, Baldric, 'cos you need to know the code first!

(Anyway, to the best of my knowledge, the trade in nicked car radios dried up about 20 years ago!)
Really ? Why was that. (Would be about 20 years too late for me anyhow.)
Because they started building most of the radios in as an integral part then
