Please could someone help me sort out a Kindle problem. I have a free Kindle on my laptop which is great. However, yesterday I downloaded a new book from Amazon and a message popped up telling me my Kindle app is about to expire. My question is if I download another app will I lose the books on my current app or do they transfer automatically? As you can see I'm not much good at this sort of thing so please could someone advise me. Thank you very much to anyone who replies.

The books sit in your amazon account so if they are lost, which they shouldn’t be, you can download them again.
i`ve never heard of Kindle apps expiring - login to your account at Amazon and see if there are any messages atteched to your kindle account.
They are rolling out a new version of Kindle. Mine has updated on on lappy and kindle but not yet on the ipad.

Many thanks to you both. I'll take a look and see if any messages, but as you say whatever happens I shouldn't "lose" any books I've bought. Just a follow up question. I only have a laptop, but if I bought or borrowed a tablet or even someone else's PC, how would I view my books on that device, assuming that device had the Kindle app on it. Thanks again.
you would need to add it to your amazon kindle account.
