What browser are you using, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer? Windows 10 is your operating system.
See if this helps, bluebird.

Are you talking about web pages?
Almost every browser that's currently in use allows you to add bookmarks (as everyone except Microsoft calls them) or 'favorites' (with that horrid American spelling, as Microsoft insists that they're called) simply by pressing Ctrl and D together.

Give it a go!
Is there a star at the extreme right of you web address bar? If so click on that and it will save it.
bluebird when you are on a web page you want to keep for easy recall later, just click the little star top rightish select add. When you want to recall it, click on the 3 little horizontal lines and select it from the list in the usual way. It helps to stay tidy you click the + sign top bar to open a new tab first if you don't want to lose your current page. When you have opened favs with the 3 horizontal lines you can close the sidebar that opens by clicking outside its field if you decide not to access a saved favourite or if you are just checking what is in there. To get rid of a saved fav. just right click and choose delete.
Not on Firefox Jackdaw, that displays a list of favourites.
Ignore that.
The star to the right of the search bar adds a webpage to favourites in Firefox
It is the same on any browser in w10. I have used 5 different ones before settling with Edge.
The star gives a list of favourites on Internet Explorer - I knew it did somewhere.
I'm amazed anyone still uses IE. It is not compatible with AB.
... and it makes silly clicking sounds.

I don't use it, (or Edge - its new name)
//Edge is said to be faster than Internet Explorer. Plus, it has a lot of upgraded features that will surely satisfy developers and general users all the same.
Microsoft's new browser has a built-in notation tool that is integrated with Cortana. Hence, users will be given more personalised results whenever they use Edge.
Unlike its predecessor, Edge supports Chrome and Firefox extensions, enabling users to carry their favorite plug-ins to this new browser.//

Edge is not the 'new name' for IE. It is a whole new operating system independent of IE, which we all knew was out of date 10 yrs ago. IE will rightly be binned in the near future. Plus the new sandbox system Defender security that is with Edge is really quite good.

Too late, I'm sticking with Chrome now, as I have a Chromecast on the TV.
