Mushroom....I took MrG into hospital as an emergency one evening....the brand new, make things more efficient assessment ward at KGH.

When I returned at 9am the bed was empty and they had no record of him. No MrG had been entered on the computer by the previous shift.

Are you sure you brought him here?.....???..Yes!
Are you sure he hasn't been sent home?...???..Yes!

Lots of whispered conversations, phone calls and glances at me to see if I was the full shilling resulted in a nurse eventually saying they'd found him... she'd take me to him....but be prepared for the worst......

She put her arm around me and took me behind a curtain where a very ill man I'd never seen before lay on a bed.....
