The mobile phone has certainly advanced a great deal in terms of it's technology since it's invention ; and is now as common as the automobile .

Dare i say it's a device that's taken over our existence .

I was stationary in a queue of traffic , when a bus pulled up alongside me - i glanced over into the bus and couldn't help noticing that almost all of the passengers were looking downwards in front of them - i.e looking at their mobile phones .

Are you one of those people that would literally be lost without their mobile phone ?

crikey , i'd forgotten about this thread .

Anyway according to my colleagues i've arrived into the 21st century , now that i have recently taken possession of a smart phone .

These things are stacked to the gunnels with technology .

Say 'ok google' is currently my friend
Bazile, your video of the lady falling in the water made me laugh! Did you know there's actually an app for the phone so you can walk and text .... and you are able to see where you're walking, how bad is that.
My son has only just got a smartphone, and he's a software engineer. His colleagues laughed about my old basic pink Samsung that he had previously been using.
I was out at lunch today and started to fowl mouth the mobile phones.

Earlier in this year 4 times I attempted to say good morning/afternoon to people zombed out on the mobile phones. No response.

Mobs to me have led to disengagement with the public, disengagement in the eye, a rush when a call comes through and then disengagement in the current conversation. The worse of everything to be invented. And more of which I could not be bothered to detail.

Glad to be going out of this digital era - a very sad era for young people who, today need all the help out there to keep "living".
