I had a shoulder xray 10 days ago because in a lot of pain they told me I had tendonitis of the rotar cuff and my GP thinks it is likely impingement of the shoulder I have been referred to orthapedics I have had 4 steroid injections in it first 3 worked very well but last one no help at all. I dont know what they will do now. GP thinks I might need surgery I hope it can be done under local im terrified of a general

No point in worrying Gordie. Wait and see what gp says.
shoulder surgery under local anaesthetic? You're a brave man, but maybe it can be done. For me it's a GA every time. I used to have them at the dentist's too but they can't do them now.
