Go for an industrial model.
no previous experience but tempted to go for a Nutribullet
Definitely what RATTER15 suggested: the type that health-food stores and fancy gyms use...It won't be cheap I would imagine.
do you want a juicer...makes juices and dumps the pulp separately....or a smoothie maker which pulps the whole thing?
If you are after a juicer, I have got a Jack LaLanne centrifugal juicer which is excellent. You don’t put ice in it though.....
If you want a smoothie maker then the ninja or the Nutribullet are good...king of the hill is the Vita mix which is huge, heavy, sounds like a cement mixer costs two arms and a leg, and will pulverise anything.
A quote from BBC Good Food magazine:
"With some serious power behind it, the Avance made short work of whole, unpeeled apples, carrots and other non-starchy fruit and veg . . ."

That's part of their recommendation for the Philips Avance Collection Juicer HR1871/00 as one of the top 5 juicers on the market:

It achieved that status despite a fairly hefty price tag of £199.99 from Argos but it's currently offered at just £84.99:

Worth considering, perhaps?
I would grate the carrots first- only takes a minute or two
grating them first loses a lot of the juice. Centrifugal juicers grate the hard veg as part of the process.
I grate over the blender so don't think I lose much but maybe some gets caught up in the grater
I do eat the last bit of every carrot though to avoid grating my hands
