i suppose it could upset people of a sensitive nature if she's serving tables at the same time

I don't see any problem with this. It can be done discreetly. I did it, as did my daughter (in restaurants). No-one noticed. You are not exactly heaving up your top and exposing yourself. What's wrong anyway, you have babies, you feed them..... baffled here.
