Nissa Micra Convertible Boot Wont Open

hi all, i have a 07 plate micra convertible, its showing on the dash that the boot is not closed, but i cant even open it , and with that the roof wont open, it just beeps, and ideas as to how i can gain access to the boot, ive read posts about getting into a hatchback but not a convertible, thanks in advance,

They probably use the same micro switch ( behind the boot handle ) as they have used on other micra's. That would be the first thing that I would check.

To unlock the boot to get at the micro switch try disconnecting the car battery and then reconnecting it. Probably stay locked again when you close the boot lid though.

Best of luck, probably need a new micro switch though. Seems to be a common problem on Micra's of that era ( it's usually water that causes it ).

did as you said and disconnected the battery, the boot opened and the flap wasnt pulled out , so i pulled it out shut the boot but the roof still wont work, its now flashing on the dash, is this because of the switch still ??

Yep, the micro switch is bad.
