Here's something odd I have noticed. In my attempt to take less Omeprazole I have now got more acid reflux than I had. When I get acid reflux, the middle joint in my index finger hurts- like they are joined up in some way.
This has happened repeatedly. Sqad, or anyone- why is it that when I am in pain with acid reflux that I also feel it in my finger joint?!

It has been reported on many occasions that there may be a link between acid reflux and joint pains, but for the life of me, I cannot think of a reason.

It may well be coincidence and that your joint symptoms may be due to an arthritic problem although as you say the joint "flair ups" only occur with increased acidity.

It's interesting that it is literally like one thing is joined to the other- so when I get that wave of acid, I feel it in my finger joint. Only for a few seconds, and when one subsides then so does the other!
