Does anyone know if such a thing exists? I have an old fashioned telephone that has been converted to run on modern systems. It is not practical to run a cable from the main telephone inlet box to where I would like the phone. The only way that I can see using it is to connect wirelessly to another socket that I could plug the phone into but can't find anything to do it with, can anybody help? Thanks.

Here in the U.S. it's called... well... Wireless.

You can't use your old 'converted' telephone, in my understanding of your plight, but for a very reasonable cost you can purchase a wireless system that will serve several telephones throughout your house from the one base system...
