Having always done our own decorating, we cannot cope with it any more. The mind is willing but the body doesn't respond these days..so were going to have to bite the bullet and get a decorator in to do the job for us.

The thought scares me as our standards are quite high..who on earth to get we have no idea, but also and most importantly, how much is a reasonable rate these days.

If the cost is right and the work up to a decent standard, we want the whole apartment done throughout the spring.

What sort of prices are charged these days, anyone have an idea please?

I have just had a bedroom completely redecorated - stripped, repapered and all woodwork done for £300. It worked out at about £100 per day. I live in Wales so charges probably lower than London and Home Counties.
