Louis is 16, and had lost weight from being a strapping big cat of 6.5kg in his prime, to 4.12 kg as of last week. Blood test performed and thyroid tablets dispensed.
Managing to give them ok hidden in a small bit of smoked salmon.
Right, today, bit of his food, but we put it down to him vomiting a little bile this morning.
Just now, he made an awful crying noise in his basket, and got out to go outside. He vomited a small amount of milky stuff (He does not have milk - just water), then I noted his back legs were spasming. Brought him back indoors, and obviously will contact vet first thing. He is going between managing a few steps, then his feet going rigid and spasms again.
I suspect the worst obviously, anything I can do for him during the night?

Thank you everyone, your words are comforting.
It's going to be a strange feeling in this house for some time. x
So sorry to hear that. I dread the day either of my two go the same way.

So sorry to hear your news ferlew, it's never an easy time.
(we've lost a cat and a dog in the last 12 months, so know how you're feeling)
So sorry ferlew. The shock is immense now and the house so quiet. All my best wishes x
ferlew ~ I hope that you are okay, you will miss Louis for a while. They are small animals with huge personalities and they steal your heart. But their time with us is so short and losing them is hard.

My two are actually being really quiet just now - that is not usually a good sign.

x

Wolf, I know I get far too attached, I always have, had cats for over 60 years. Twice I have waited up for Louis to come in from his last loo trip, and one morning I got up to let him in :(
The dogs are very quiet at the moment too, quite clingy, and going everywhere together.
